"Everywhere in nature we are taught the lessons of patience and waiting. We want things a long time before we get them, and the fact that we want them a long time makes them all the more precious when they come." -Joseph Smith

Catching up: Ben's Ear Tubes

Benny boy got tubes in his ears! He's had problems with his ears all his little life. Before we got him he was about to get tubes. Then he went a long time without any infections and we thought maybe he had grown out of it. Then it started up again. Poor boy! He's a chatter box now that he can hear!

Here he is all ready for them to come and get him with this favorite blanket.
He did not wake up well from anesthesia. He was an emotional wreck. No pain, just the anesthesia making him very confused and not sure of what was going on.
Lots of tags on him! Arm, leg, toe...
Showing off his cool sticker! The nurses gave him stickers to distract him as they took him away, and they said he was hugging this sticker the whole time during the surgery! So cute!
All better now!

He's so adorable! I'm glad he got tubes. That can make such a huge difference in a kid's life!

I am having flashbacks. I think I need to go on a picture hunt of my own....

Grant has had tubes put in twice, it is such a pain but helps so much! His little face breaks my heart in the one after he woke up, poor guy! Glad it is over with for you mommy, having a kid in surgery (no matter what it is for) is the most stressful thing ever! He is so cute!
