"Everywhere in nature we are taught the lessons of patience and waiting. We want things a long time before we get them, and the fact that we want them a long time makes them all the more precious when they come." -Joseph Smith

Finding the Good Times

Sometimes it is easy to get caught up in all that is going on around you and forget to look for the good times. The times that make you smile and remind you what you are here for. A lot has been going on here, and the other day I walked into Aria's room to find Daddy and kids playing. He was recording their cuteness. (One of our goals this year is to video more) and it melted my heart.

One of the things I looked for in a husband is someone who was good with kids. It's very important to me that kids can have a connection to both mom and dad and not just one. Drew is exactly that. Aria is such a daddy's girl, and I'm so glad that they are so close. Buddies. Friends. Lots of respect for each other. Ben's starting to ask for Daddy more and more - but he's definitely a mama's boy. :) In fact, as I am writing this, Ben is asking for Daddy. "Sorry Bubba! He's at work, he'll be home soon." That phrase is said A LOT at our house during the day time.

I just love my little family so much!

I need a reminder just about every day to enjoy the little things. Maybe once a week.

Oh my gosh your kids are so dang cute! Love the video, especially the tickling and when Aria says where everyone sleeps in her block house, so cute!
